			<title>Historic Ireland</title>
			<link>http://www.talkaccommodation.com/regions/regions/ireland.html#comment-20</link>
<description>Take a step back through time and discover historic Ireland - we've got amazing buildings and monuments just waiting to be explored as you learn more about Ireland's past and how it still influences the present.

Our castles and historic houses, heritage attractions and museums are the perfect places to visit for a family day out or a weekend break with friends.
Must-see historic highlights
Sights not to be missed include Newgrange (Bru na Boinne). Built around 3200BC, the UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of the oldest astronomically aligned monuments in the world and puts on quite a show during the winter solstice.

Other must sees include the Ceide Fields, Dun Aengus, a prehistoric ring fort on Inis Mór in the Aran Islands, and the Hill of Tara – one of the Boyne Valley’s many treasures.

You’ll see historical evidence all around you – castles from Norman invasions, such as Kilkenny Castle; megalithic dolmens and tombs; Viking city walls at Waterford City, and history commemorated across Ireland's monuments and museums.
