Thinking about a trip to the wilderness in Canada?  Consider a stop off at Rainbow Point Lodge in the heart of some of the most fabulous natural wilderness in NW Ontario Canada.  We offer comfortable cottages on the lakeshore, boat rentals, and much more.  Unsurpassed wildlife / nature viewing as well as fishing for walleye, northern pike, smallmouth bass, perch & muskie on Perrault Lake.  Very reasonable rates for daily or weekly stays.   Check out our website for details and to view our large photo gallery from last season!
Being a seasonal business here Ontario, we take our reservations for the coming summer from now until spring.  Last minute bookings are touch and go, so it is best to plan long ahead for sure to get the dates you are wanting.

Looking forward to spring already.  There is nothing that says summer more clearly than hearing the first haunting loon call heard across the lake.

Social Media for Motels and Medium Sized Accommodation

Am trying to use social media to get more leads. Am not sure if any of you have tried social media so would appreciate your feedback.

We have just started a page on Facebook (which is what we will try to mainly use at this stage). We plan to use Facebook for 1. To get people to put reviews though FB logins on Trip Advisor. I believe that more reviews you get (with reviewers using the keywords will increasing ranking on Google Places)
2. We will email our customers to put a review on Trip advisor or like us on Facebook.
3. We will put regular status updates on page wall on events that's happening in our City. The status will have link for more information on the events back to our website.
4. FBML the equivalent of HTML langusge on Facebook can now be used to build  a page similair to the website on Facebook. This way leads can be converted to bookings on Facebook.

I am doubtful whether Twitter would work for small to Medium Sized Accommodation.

Would appreciate any feedbacks on this.
